The ELV's are here

All Casuals matches this year at all levels will be played under the new ELV's in addition to the current laws.

We will try to talk you through all the changes by the time the season starts, but you will need to have a read through them yourself to truely understand them. Follow this link to find out more info and ask me or Hobbo for clarification if needs be.

Players meeting and pre-season

Two important dates for your diaries

Thursday 26th June 2008

There is a players meeting at the club starting at 8pm to discuss the new game plan and strategy for the new season. If you supplied your home addresses to me you should already have a copy of the plan, if not please turn up early to the meeting to have a read through before we start. In our quest to improve as a club we need you the players to start taking ownership of the way we are playing. You are not drones just following orders so please start taking some responsibility.

Tuesday 1st July 2008 (and every Tuesday and Thursday following that)

Pre-season training starts at 7pm sharp. The new style of play will require us to be fitter and more mobile, so therefore it is imperative that we get maximum attendance for pre-season training. Yes it is going to be tough and hard work, but we have worked hard over the summer to produce a fitness plan that is both interesting and enjoyable. The harder you work now, the easier the season will be. If you want Casuals to improve and succeed then you will take responsibilty and turn up, on time, ready to train.

I am very optimistic and excited about the new season and can't wait to get going. I hope you share my enthusiasm.
